Rev. Robert Klotz

Robert accepted the call to serve as Senior Pastor of First Baptist in February of 2017. He previously served as pastor of Perdido Baptist church for six and a half years. Robert and his wife Heather have been married since 2010 and have three girls, Hannah, Leah, and Esther.

Robert is originally from Lawrenceville, Georgia where he graduated from Brookwood High School. He attended Auburn University until God called him to seminary, and he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Christian Ministry from Leavell College at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary in 2010. He continued at NOBTS to earn a Master's of Divinity in 2015. He is currently pursuing a Doctorate of Ministry in Church Revitalization from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. 

Robert's passion in pastoral ministry is for church revitalization. His personal ministry objective states: I desire to glorify God in my ministry by leading a church to fulfill the Great Commission by making disciples of all nations, and to obey the Great Commandment by delighting in God and loving others with the love of Christ.

Rev. Heath Walton

Heath Walton accepted the call to serve at FBC Talladega as the Associate Pastor of Music and Students in May of 2019. Previously, he served as an Associate Pastor in Newnan, Georgia for eight years.


Heath grew up in the ministries of FBC Talladega from 1995 until college in 2007. During his time in the student ministry, he answered the call to ministry. While attending college, Heath was licensed for gospel ministry. He attended the University of Mobile where he earned a Bachelors of Music in Church Music. In December of 2018, Heath earned his Masters of Divinity from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. Heath is married to Cortney, and they have three daughters: Piper, Lily, and Ellie. 

Heath's passion for ministry is to encourage people to love and obey the Lord, to teach others the word of God, and to lead others in the worship of God.

Judy Gaither

Judy Gaither joined the staff at FBC Talladega in May of 2017. She is a retired educator who serves as our director for Children's Ministry. Her goal in children's ministry is to  love each child as Jesus loved them and teach Biblical truths from God's Word through child-friendly lessons, games, and activities. Judy, along with her husband Jerryl, has been a member of First Baptist Church of Talladega for several years

Jenifer Peters

Jenifer Peters joined the staff at FBC Talladega in August of 2015. She serves as our Director of the FBC Child Development Center, which combines quality education and professional day care for children. Jenifer formerly served as a Media Specialist/Teacher in the Talladega City and County School Systems. Jenifer lives with her husband, Jason, and their three children: Jackson, Carter, and Caroline.
